Logging

MicroStream logs against the simple logging facade SLF4J. Just add and configure the logging framework of your choice to see the logger’s output.

Here’s a small example with logback. Add the logback dependency:

pom.xml
<dependencies>
	<dependency>
		<groupId>ch.qos.logback</groupId>
		<artifactId>logback-classic</artifactId>
		<version>${logback.version}</version>
	</dependency>
</dependencies>

And the logback configuration:

logback.xml
<?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?>
<configuration>

    <appender name="CONSOLE" class="ch.qos.logback.core.ConsoleAppender">
        <layout class="ch.qos.logback.classic.PatternLayout">
            <Pattern>
                %d{HH:mm:ss.SSS} [%t] %-5level %logger{36} - %msg%n
            </Pattern>
        </layout>
    </appender>

    <logger name="one.microstream" level="debug" additivity="false">
        <appender-ref ref="CONSOLE"/>
    </logger>

    <root level="error">
        <appender-ref ref="CONSOLE"/>
    </root>

</configuration>
